Enterprise Rental Policies at Nashville International Airport (BNA)

Before renting a car from Enterprise at BNA, review the following requirements.
1. Age Requirements
Renters and additional drivers must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license. Drivers aged 21 to 24 may pay a $25 daily young renter surcharge and can rent eligible vehicle categories. Renters of 12- and 15-passenger vans must be at least 25 years old.
2. Driver’s License Information
Renters must provide a valid, unexpired government-issued driver’s license with a photograph. Digital licenses, photocopies, and learner’s permits are not accepted. International visitors must present a valid home-country driver’s license and an International Driving Permit (IDP) when required by the language or alphabet used on the license. A passport may also be requested. Renters using a debit card at pickup must provide a ticketed return itinerary.
3. Forms of Payment and Security Deposit
Enterprise accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and eligible debit cards. Renters without one must provide a $400 deposit for standard vehicles or $850 for specified premium and specialty vehicles. Cash and prepaid cards are not accepted at pickup.
4. Additional Driver
A spouse or domestic partner can drive the rental car at no additional charge if they meet Enterprise’s rental requirements. Other eligible additional drivers must pay $15 per day and be present at pickup. A debit card rental permits only a spouse or domestic partner as an additional driver.
5. Damage Waiver (DW)
Costs vary from $30 to $75 per day, depending on the vehicle category. If accepted, it waives or reduces the renter’s financial responsibility for loss of or damage to the rental vehicle, subject to the rental agreement. DW is optional and is not insurance.
6. Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP)
Costs $19.50 per day and provides up to $300,000 in combined single-limit protection for third-party liability claims involving the renter and authorized drivers, subject to policy terms.
7. Personal Effects Coverage (PEC)
Covers eligible personal belongings of the renter, additional drivers, and traveling companions against covered loss or damage. The daily price ranges from $5.99 to $8.19 for standard vehicles. Higher rates apply to vehicles seating 10 or more people.
8. Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP)
Covers specified roadside assistance services, including lost keys, lockouts, flat tire service, jump-starts, fuel delivery, and towing, subject to the agreement.
9. Extended Protection (EP)
Available on eligible retail rentals, this protection provides primary third-party liability coverage up to a combined single limit of $1 million per accident, subject to policy conditions and exclusions.
10. Refueling Services
Enterprise provides three fuel payment options:
- Option 1: Prepaid Fuel
Pay for a full tank at pickup and return the vehicle with the tank as empty as possible. Unused fuel is non-refundable.
- Option 2: Enterprise Refueling
Return the vehicle without replacing the fuel used. Enterprise charges for the missing fuel at a rate higher than local fuel prices, and additional charges may apply.
- Option 3: Refuel Before Returning
Replace the fuel used and return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at pickup to avoid additional refueling charges.
11. Toll Pass Policy
Enterprise’s TollPass program allows renters to use electronic toll lanes without stopping to pay cash. Tennessee currently has no operational toll roads, so driving within the state does not incur toll charges. However, tolls may apply when traveling to states with toll roads. TollPass availability and applicable fees depend on the rental location and program terms.
12. Cross-Border Travel Policy
Most vehicles rented from Enterprise in the United States can be driven throughout the United States and Canada. However, exotic cars, large passenger vans, cargo vans, and other specialty vehicles may have restrictions on travel outside the United States. Vehicles rented in the United States cannot be driven into Mexico.
13. 12- and 15- Passenger Van Requirements
Renters must be at least 25 years old. These vehicles cannot be driven into Canada or used to transport students in 12th grade or younger for school-related functions, except for family members.
